Tungsten has the highest melting point and lowest vapor pressure of all metals, and has the highest tensile strength at temperatures in excess of 1650°C. It has excellent corrosion resistance and is only slightly attacked by most inorganic acids. (0.65 mm diameter, 100 feet)
Tungsten is the most useful material used in vacuum evaporation technique, due to its special properties and cost factor.
