Raw Material

Ripe molybdenum ore is the main raw material for the production of molybdenum, and molybdenum is the source of ferromolybdenum. In addition to high grade requirements, there are also strict requirements for impurities.

The general ingredients are: Mo48%-52%, S≤0.065%, P≤0.023%, Cu≤0.30%, SiO2 8%-14%, Pb0.2%-0.5%.

The particle size should not be larger than 20mm, and the particle size of 10-20mm should not exceed 20% of the total.

75% ferrosilicon powder is crushed and ground ferrosilicon powder raw material, which is used to reduce oxides such as cooked molybdenum and iron sheets. Ferrosilicon powder must have accurate silicon and aluminum content before use.

The silicon content is required to be 75%-77%. The particle size requirements are: 1.0-1.8 mm, no more than 1%, 0.5-1.0 mm, no more than 10%. The rest are below 0.5mm.

Generally, too large a particle size will lead to an increase in molybdenum and silicon. It is better to use ferrosilicon powder with high silicon content than with low silicon content.
