How FeV60 Works: The Science of Alloying

FeV60 enhances material properties through three core mechanisms:

1. Carbide/Nitride Precipitation

Vanadium reacts with carbon (C) and nitrogen (N) in molten metal to form fine, stable vanadium carbides (VC)​ and vanadium nitrides (VN). These particles:

Pin grain boundaries, preventing grain growth during cooling.

Act as nucleation sites for graphite in cast iron, promoting uniform graphite distribution.

2. Solid Solution Strengthening
