Use Of Silicon Metal 3303

Silicon 3303 is a kind of metal silicon classified according to the content of iron, aluminum and calcium. Iron content is 0.3%, aluminum content is 0.3%, and calcium content is 0.03%. It is always supplied and used with a particle size of 10-10mm/10-50mm. The largest user is aluminum alloy additive. The use of 3303 silicon will be highlighted below.

1. Additives and deoxidants for non-ferrous metal alloys. When silicon is added to some non-ferrous metals, it can improve the strength, hardness and wear resistance of the base metal and sometimes improve the casting and welding properties of the base metal. In non-ferrous metals, the largest user is as aluminum alloy (silicon aluminum alloy, magnesium aluminum alloy, hard aluminum alloy, etc.) additives.

2. Silicon steel alloying agent. For some particularly strict requirements of silicon steel sheet, silicon metal should be used as the alloy agent of silicon steel, and the aluminum content of silicon used for the production of high-grade silicon steel sheet should be strictly controlled.

3. Reducing agents for some oxides. Based on the enhanced chemical affinity between silicon and oxygen, the use of silicon metal can also reduce some of the weak or strong affinity with oxygen, but the metal itself is a volatile metal oxide.

4. Semiconductor materials. High purity silicon is an excellent semiconductor material with obvious semiconductor properties. After a series of industrial processes, the silicon metal 3303 can be pulled into monocrystal silicon to make silicon transistors, which can be used in the electronics industry, and can be made into polysilicon and solar cells.

5. Other uses. Silicon metal can be used to make a variety of chemical products, such as organosilicon.
