Metal silicon 3303

Metal silicon 3303 is a kind of metal silicon with the maximum iron content of 0.3%, aluminum content of 0.3% and calcium content of 0.03%. Metal silicon is usually divided into different grades according to the content of iron, aluminum and calcium. Grade 3303 belongs to the type with high silicon purity, and the silicon content can reach 99.3% at least.

Silicon metal is commonly used in aluminum alloy products. It can be used to produce aluminum ingots or aluminum castings. Sometimes for aluminum ingots, lower grades of silicon metal (e.g. 553, 441) will be sufficient, and higher grades of high purity silicon metal such as 3303 or 2202 will be less used. Silicon metal 3303 or 2202 and sometimes even 1101 will be needed.

The price of the silicon metal 3303 will be higher compared to the silicon metal 553 and 441, which will be influenced by the cost of raw materials such as coke, quartz and electricity.
