Green silicon carbide is used in the building materials ceramic grinding wheel industry. Taking advantage of its characteristics, thermal conductivity, thermal radiation and high temperature strength, the board kiln is made. It can not only reduce the kiln capacity, but also improve the furnace installed capacity and product quality and shorten the production cycle. It is also ideal for indirect fired ceramic glazed baking materials.

Green Silicon Carbide Powder Suppliers

Green crystal, brittle and pointed, with certain thermal and electrical conductivity. The microscopic shape is hexagonal crystal. The product has a hardness of 9.3, a microhardness of 2940-3300kg2, and a Knoop hardness of 2670-2815kg2, which is higher than corundum and second only to diamond, cubic boron nitride and boron carbide.
There are currently two types of domestic industrial green silicon carbide: black and green. They are both hexagonal crystals with a specific gravity of 3.20-3.25 and a microhardness of 2,840-3,320kg2. The Mohs hardness of black green silicon carbide is 9.2-9.3, and the Mohs hardness of green material is 9.5. The black material is made of quartz sand, petroleum coke and silica smelted at high temperature in a resistance furnace. Its hardness is between corundum and diamond, its mechanical strength is higher than corundum, and it is brittle and sharp.
