What Is Tungsten?

Tungsten is the most widely used refractory metal. Its melting point is 3410°C, so it still has good electrical and thermal conductivity under low thermal expansion, low vapor pressure, and high temperature conditions.

As a form of wire, its high-temperature properties are critical to the production of lighting products and other products.

In addition to a small amount of tungsten wire being used as a heating material for high-temperature furnaces, heating elements for electron tubes, and reinforcing ribs for composite materials, most of it is used to make filaments for various incandescent lamps, tungsten halogen lamps, and electrodes for gas discharge lamps.

Coarse-sized tungsten wire is usually processed after straightening and cut into several strips. It is widely used in the lighting and electronics industries as glass-to-metal sealing components.
