Molybdenum has the largest consumption in the steel field, mainly used in the production of alloy steel (accounting for about 50% of total molybdenum consumption in steel), stainless steel (about 25%), tool steel and high-speed steel (about 9%), cast iron and Roller (about 6%). Most of the molybdenum is briquetted with industrial molybdenum oxide and used directly in steelmaking or cast iron.
