Japanese customers ordered ferro silicon
Japanese customers came to ZhenAn to inspect the company and ordered 112 tons of ferrosilicon.
Ferrosilicon, often abbreviated to FeSi, is an alloy of iron and silicon with smaller proportions of other elements. The most popular grade of Ferrosilicon contains 75 wt% silicon ("FeSi75"), but can range from 15-90 wt% depending on the application.
The highest quality Ferrosilicon is made by reducing silica with iron (usually from scrap steel or iron ore) in an electric arc furnace. Ferrosilicon usually comes in shiny metallic grey blocks, but can also be made into prefabricated blocks.
