How strong is ferrotitanium?
The strength is controlled by titanium content and impurities. FeTi70 (Ti 65%-75%) is stronger than FeTi30.
Industrial grade ferrotitanium: 800-1100 MPa, used for building steel structures and ship parts.
Aviation grade ferrotitanium: ≥1450 MPa, used for engine blades and landing gear
Medical grade ferrotitanium: 950-1200 MPa, used for orthopedic implants and artificial joints.
