China's Industrial Silicon Production Capacity And Output

Under the strategic goal of China's "two-carbon" policy, the industrial structure is constantly optimized, the industrial operation rate will gradually improve, and the integration of industrial silicon industry chain will gradually rise, driving the increase of industrial silicon capacity and output. In 2021, China, as the world's largest industrial silicon producer, has an annual production capacity of 4.99 million tons, accounting for 78.96% of the global total. The total global industrial silicon production was 4.12 million tons; China's output reached 3.21 million tons, accounting for 77.93 percent. With the continuous infiltration of organosilicon downstream and the rapid development of semiconductor and photovoltaic industries driven by polysilicon, China's industrial silicon output is expected to break through a historic high of around 3.55 million tons in 2022.
