As the welding wire gradually dissolves, it releases a desulfurizer that quickly reacts with the sulfur present in the steel, ultimately forming slag that can be easily eliminated. Deoxygenation

Deoxidation is a critical process that requires the elimination of oxygen from molten metal. This operation is essential to avoid the formation of oxides that adversely affect the quality of the steel. Core-clad wire filled with elements such as aluminum or silicon is judiciously introduced into a steel bath, where it quickly reacts with oxygen to produce a stable oxide. These oxides rise to the surface and can be easily separated as slag, producing cleaner steel with enhanced mechanical properties.
