Zirconium wire can absorb a large amount of gas when heated

Zirconium wire can absorb a large amount of oxygen, hydrogen, ammonia and other gases when heated. In electron tubes, zirconium powder is used as a degassing agent, and zirconium wire and zirconium sheets are used as ideal getters for gate brackets, anode brackets, etc. When powdered iron is mixed with zirconium nitrate, a sparkling powder is produced. Most of them are used as outer packaging for uranium fuel components in nuclear reactors. It can also withstand photographic flash lamps and corrosion-resistant containers and piping, especially hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid. Zirconium chemicals can act as cross-linking agents for polymers.

From an industrial point of view, as long as one thousandth of zirconium is added to steel, the hardness and strength will be astonishingly high. Zirconium-containing armor steel, cannon forged steel, stainless steel and heat-resistant steel are important materials for manufacturing armored vehicles, tanks, cannons and weapons.

From the perspective of atomic energy and nuclear energy, zirconium has outstanding atomic energy and is an indispensable material in the development of the atomic energy industry. Zirconium materials are commonly used in large-scale nuclear power plants in my country. If nuclear energy is used to generate electricity, a power generation capacity of 1 million kilowatts will consume 20 to 25 tons of zirconium per year. A 30,000-horsepower nuclear submarine uses zirconium and zirconium alloys as casings and pressure tubes for nuclear fuel. The amount of zirconium used reaches 20 tons to 30 tons.

Zirconium wire is a rare metal with amazing anti-corrosion properties, extremely high melting point, ultra-high hardness and strength. It is widely used in aerospace, military industry, nuclear reaction, and nuclear energy fields. The corrosion-resistant and highly corrosion-resistant titanium products used by "Shenzhou VI" are far less corrosion-resistant than zirconium. Its melting point is about 1600 degrees, but the melting point of zirconium is above 1800 degrees, and the melting point of zirconium oxide is as high as 2700 degrees. Above, so zirconium has a high status in the aerospace industry.
