Methods of correctly refining micro carbon ferrochrome powder
Leave a message
Medium, low and micro carbon ferrochrome powder is generally composed of ferrosilicon, chromite and lime powder. It is desilicated with fine powder of heating furnace of 1500~6000kVA and operated with fly ash of high pH value (CaO/SiO2 ratio is 1.6~1.8). Low carbon ferrochrome and low carbon ferrochrome are also integrated thermal mixing production. Two furnaces are used in production, one for forging Ni-Si alloy and the other for melting slag consisting of chromium ore and lime powder. For refractory chromite, the essential reaction is divided into two buckets in two stages :(1) After the slag of the slag furnace is loaded into the bucket, the ferrosilicon alloy that has just started to desilication is added to the other bucket. Due to the large excess capacity of slag-reducing agent and sufficient desilication, micro-carbon ferrochrome with silicon content less than 0.8% and carbon content as low as 0.02% can be obtained. (2) The reacted slag (containing about 15% Cr2O3) in the container is moved to the second container, and the ferrosilicon alloy (containing 45% silicon) cast in the chromium silicon heating furnace is added to the slag. After the reaction is over, the ferrosilicon alloy (containing about 25% silicon) which has just begun to be desilicated is obtained, and the slag containing less than 2~3% Cr2O3 can be thrown away.
