The fifth is to use the method of selecting furnace materials to produce low-aluminum and low-carbon ferrosilicon.
The method of using selected furnace materials to produce high-purity ferrosilicon is mainly to select quartz stone and petroleum coke, wood blocks, charcoal and silicon steel sheets for smelting production to achieve the purpose of reducing the content of impurity elements in the product. Due to the large fluctuations in the quality of raw materials, this method inevitably introduces some impurities during the smelting production process, so that the reduction rate of impurity content in the product is limited, the product quality is not high, the yield rate is low, and the production furnace condition is difficult to maintain, the furnace mouth operation is difficult, the production cost and energy consumption of the product are large, and the economic indicators are poor.
The furnace method has a good effect in removing calcium and aluminum, but there is a lot of tail gas, and there are often leaks and broken graphite tubes for blowing chlorine during production, which seriously pollutes the environment, endangers the health of workers, and corrodes production equipment.
The method of blowing oxygen outside the furnace is used for refining outside the furnace, which is also good for removing impurities such as calcium, aluminum, and carbon in the product. However, during use, due to the violent tumbling of molten iron and large splashing losses, the temperature of the molten iron drops rapidly, resulting in large sticking and iron losses. The statistical loss is 12%-20%. The graphite tube for blowing oxygen also often breaks and stops refining, with a low yield, which is also economically uneconomical.
The method of selecting furnace materials to produce low-aluminum and low-carbon ferrosilicon is mainly to select reducing agents, such as blue carbon, gas coal coke and other raw materials for smelting production, in order to reduce the impurity elements in the product, mainly the aluminum content. This method has a large fluctuation in the composition of raw materials and inevitably introduces some impurities during the smelting process, so the reduction rate of impurity content in the product is limited. The aluminum content can generally be reduced to 1.6%, and can only be reduced to 1.2% at most. The carbon content is 0.2%, and only some brands of products can be produced.
