High carbon ferromanganese is a kind of ferromanganese, which refers to ferromanganese with carbon content between 2.0% and 8.0%. Ferromanganese is an iron alloy with iron and manganese as the main components.
The main uses of high carbon ferromanganese are as belows.
(1) Iron and steel industry: ferromanganese is an essential deoxidizer and desulfurizer in steelmaking industry. Good steel needs to be smelt, deoxidized and desulphurized, and the use of deoxidizer will greatly increase its cost, so ferromanganese is a cheap deoxidizer.

(2) The fasting industry. Ferromanganese can be used as inoculant and nodular cast iron in cast iron, and can prevent the formation of carbide, promote the precipitation of graphite greatly shorten the nodular time, but also greatly reduce the shape of impurities in molten iron, improve the quality of cast iron, improve the performance of cast iron. And reduce the blockage of smelting furnace nozzle, effectively extend the service life of smelting furnace.
(3) Other industries: high-carbon ferromanganese or manganese alloys are used as reducing agents in the ferroalloy industry for the production of low-carbon ferroalloys. Ferromanganese powder can be used as suspension phase in mineral processing industry and electrode coating in electrode manufacturing industry. High carbon ferromanganese in the electrical industry can be used to prepare semiconductor pure manganese, in the chemical industry can be used to manufacture manganone.
