Description      

Low aluminium Ferro Silicon uses coke, quartz (or silica) as raw materials and is made by electric furnace.Its apperance color is bright grey,the density is small, The smaller the silicon content, the higher the proportion . According to the content of silicon , this ferro silicon in China can be divided into industrial FeSi and the FeSi with the Si content 75%,72%,65%.

Applications 
1.Deoxidizer and alloy agent in steel making industry.
To obtain qualified chemical composition and guarantee the quality of steel, deoxidizing must be conducted in the final stages of steel making. The chemical affinity is very large between silicon and oxygen, so ferro silicon is strong deoxidizer in steel making for sedimentation and diffusion deoxidation. This can significantly improve the strength, hardness and elasticity. As alloy agent, it can improve the inclusion shape and reduce gas elements content in liquid steel. It is an effective new technology in improving steel quality, reducing cost and saving raw material.
2.Inoculant and nodulizer in casting iron industry.
Ferro silicon is an important inoculant and nodulizer in ductile iron production. Because adding a certain amount of silicon in casting iron, can prevent steel form carbide and promote precipitation and nodulizing of graphite.
3.Reductant in ferroalloy production
Ferro silicon is a common reductant used in low-carbon ferroalloy production in ferroalloy.
