Products Description
Ferroalloy composed of molybdenum and iron, generally containing 50 ~ 60 % molybdenum, is used as an alloy additive for steelmaking. Molybdenum iron is an alloy of molybdenum and iron. Its main use is as an additive of molybdenum in steelmaking. Adding molybdenum to the steel can make the steel have a uniform fine grain structure, improve the hardenability of the steel, and help to eliminate the temper brittleness. Molybdenum can replace part of tungsten in high speed steel. Molybdenum is combined with other alloying elements and is widely used in the production of stainless steel, heat-resistant steel, acid-resistant steel and tool steel, as well as alloys with special physical properties. Adding molybdenum to cast iron can improve its strength and wear resistance.
Molybdenum added to cast iron can increase its strength and wear resistance. Ferric molybdenum is generally smelted by metal thermal method.
Molybdenum and iron composed of iron alloys, generally containing 50 to 60% molybdenum, used as alloy additives for steelmaking. The main raw material for smelting ferro molybdenum is molybdenite (MoS2). Molybdenum concentrate is usually oxidized by multi-hearth furnace before smelting to obtain roasted molybdenum ore with sulfur less than 0.07%.

The furnace is a cylinder placed on a ferro molybdenum sand base, lined with clay bricks, with 75% silicon ferrosilicon and a small number of aluminum particles as reducing agents. After the charge is added to the furnace barrel, it is smelted by the upper ignition method.
