Silicon Metal Lump Applications
The silicon metal lumps can be further processed into higher purity silicon and then used as an additive in aluminum alloy ingot smelting, steel production, aluminum alloy production, and electronic component production.
Silicon metal is widely used in refractory materials, powder metallurgy industry, is an excellent antioxidant. Adding metal silicon to the refractory can first react with oxygen to form a new mineral phase closed porosity, improve the density, prevent the penetration of slag iron, to improve the product's high temperature resistance, wear resistance and oxidation resistance.
