Application: Used in the construction of high-temperature vacuum and hydrogen-atmosphere furnaces.
Performance of TZM:
TZM has twice the strength of pure molybdenum at temperatures above 1300°C.
The recrystallization temperature of TZM is approximately 250°C higher than that of pure molybdenum, and it offers better weldability.
TZM Molybdenum is manufactured using either Powder Metallurgy (P/M) or Arc Cast technologies and is highly useful due to its high strength and high-temperature applications, especially above 2000°F.
TZM Molybdenum has a higher recrystallization temperature, higher strength, hardness, and good ductility at room and elevated temperatures compared to unalloyed molybdenum.
Additionally, TZM exhibits good thermal conductivity, low vapor pressure, excellent corrosion resistance, and is machinable.
