Due to too much slag added, the amount of slag is large, and the slag foam is serious, it is very easy to cause explosive sputtering in the converter, increase the loss of metal, and even burn the equipment under the furnace, resulting in serious environmental pollution. In the use of high carbon silicon before the conditions of the iron and steel mills, mainly through the iron pretreatment to reduce the [si] content of iron, to achieve less slag or no slag operation, to reduce the converter spatter. Iron pretreatment generally uses sintered ore, pellet ore, rich ore powder and iron oxide skin as desilicone agent, through spraying and stirring, so that si oxidation to form slag, and eventually the slag fishing out.
