High carbon ferro silicon is a by-product of metal silicon smelting.

A small amount of silica and carbon at the bottom did not fully react. After a long period of accumulation under high temperature conditions, it will form a lump on the bottom of the furnace.
These large pieces are then broken. The parts with silicon content above 60 were selected. Crushed into natural pieces of 10-50mm, or small particles of 0-3mm. It can partially replace ferrosilicon in steel making. Used for deoxidizing molten steel, increasing silicon and carbon.
