Ferro Niobium Grain Refinement

  Ferro niobium acts as a nucleating agent, promoting the formation of new, smaller grains during the solidification process of the alloy. It provides nucleation sites for the crystallization of the alloy, which leads to the formation of a finer grain structure. These smaller grains offer numerous benefits, including improved mechanical properties and enhanced material performance.

  Ferro niobium helps to control grain growth by impeding the movement and coarsening of existing grains within the alloy. It forms stable precipitates or compounds that act as obstacles to grain growth, preventing the grains from growing too large.    Ferro niobium aids in increasing the density of grain boundaries within the alloy. Grain boundaries are the regions where adjacent grains meet.
