Products Description

High chromium cast iron refers to white cast iron with a chromium content (mass fraction) greater than 12%. It is one of the most widely used wear-resistant cast irons at home and abroad.

High chromium cast iron is the third generation of white cast iron developed from ordinary self-cast iron and nickel hard cast iron. In developed countries in the 1960s and in the early 1980s in my country, in order to meet the needs of production and the application of induction furnaces was gradually popularized, high chromium cast iron entered a wider practical stage. Due to the characteristics of the metal structure of high-chromium cast iron, high-chromium cast iron has much higher toughness, high-temperature strength, heat resistance and wear resistance than ordinary cast iron. widely used. For applications under normal and high temperature impact wear conditions, high chromium cast iron has more practical value.

The classic high chromium cast iron is Cr15M03. With the development of production, according to the control range of Cr content, three series of Cr15, Cr20 and Cr25 are usually used. In order to meet the requirements of different working conditions, in addition to adjusting the carbon content, other alloying elements, such as nickel, tungsten, molybdenum, etc., are supplemented to form a multi-alloy high-chromium cast iron.

The as-cast matrix of high chromium cast iron is similar to heat-resistant steel and is austenitic. The cast iron with this structure is used at high temperature, which can give full play to the potential of the material itself. According to needs, through heat treatment, high chromium cast iron can obtain martensitic matrix or multi-phase composite matrix structure.

Various high-chromium cast irons with different composition ranges have their own properties and corresponding ranges of use. Only when the material properties meet the specific process requirements can it exert its potential and achieve the best use effect.

The various properties and changing trends of high chromium cast iron under various conditions have certain rules, but due to many influencing factors, a variety of fixed conditions are adopted in the test, and one factor is changed for research. The practice can only be relative, so there will be some irregular changes in the local area. In addition, the range of chromium and carbon contained in high-chromium cast iron is relatively wide, and the range of Cr/C to be selected is relatively large, and the sensitivity caused by different choices is strong. Therefore, the working conditions must be fully considered to facilitate the selection of appropriate research scope and achieve the best application effect. Due to the poor machinability of high chromium cast iron, the number and scope of experimental research are also limited.

In actual production, when various wear-resistant spare parts are worn by massive sinter, lump ore, coke and other abrasives, slippage, scratches, cutting, grinding and even chiseling are superimposed on each other. Different working conditions, impact force, temperature, cooling conditions and other factors also have a great influence on the wear of materials. Therefore, the wear process of materials is relatively complicated.

Complex working conditions put forward various requirements for materials, especially metallurgical spare parts, which often require heat resistance, wear resistance and impact resistance at the same time, so high chromium cast iron should be developed to meet these requirements. In order to make full use of the role of chromium, carbon and other alloying elements, develop, improve and standardize the application of high chromium cast iron in metallurgical spare parts, it is necessary to study the microstructure, structure, various mechanical properties and heat treatment processes of high chromium cast iron of different materials Carry out systematic research in order to obtain the conclusions of the basic concepts, parameters and multi-factor interaction laws of the application of high-chromium cast iron under high-temperature impact wear conditions; deepen the understanding of the basic conditions for the application of alloying elements to make the application of high-chromium cast iron reasonable
