Calcium silicon cored wire, also known as CaSi wire, is an additive used in steelmaking, which is added to molten steel by specialized wire-feeding equipment during steelmaking. The use of calcium Silicon wire is used to adjust and control the content of oxidized elements, which can greatly improve the yield of alloy, reduce the smelting cost, and shorten the smelting time. Calcium silicon cored wire accurately controls the composition, plays a role in purifying liquid steel and changing the properties and forms of some inclusions, improves the casting state, and enhances the quality of molten steel. The main raw material of calcium-silicon cored wire is calcium-silicon powder. The calcium-silicon powder is used as the core, and the outer skin is steel skin, which is pressed by the wire pressing machine.
