Description
Silica-calcium alloys have strong reducing power and are also used as deoxidizers for high quality steel. Because calcium is very active at the temperature of steel making, the effect is not stable, it is appropriate to add some kind of slowing agent. As deoxidizer of steel, silicon - calcium - barium alloy or silicon - calcium - barium - aluminum alloy or silicon - calcium - manganese alloy are mostly used.
