Product Description

Calcium silicon is a composite alloy composed of the elements silicon, calcium and iron. The Ca content is 24-31% and Si content is 55-65%. It’s an ideal deoxidizer and desulfurized.

Calcium silicon is also called Ca-Si alloy, calcium silicon alloy or ferro silicon calcium. It can be customized as powder, granule or lump.

Advantages of Calcium Silicon

1. Calcium silicon has a strong deoxidation capacity, deoxidation products are easy to float and easy to discharge.

2. Ca-Si alloy can improve the performance of steel to improve the plasticity of steel, impact toughness and mobility.

3. Calcium silicon alloy is used to control the shape, size and distribution of oxide and sulfide inclusions improving fluidity, machinability, ductility and impact properties of the final product.

4. Ferro silicon calcium has chalking resistance.

Application

1. Silicon calcium can replace aluminum and as deoxidizer & desulfurizerused in the production of high quality steel, low carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel base alloy, titanium base alloy and other special alloys.

2. Calcium silicon alloy can also work as a temperature-gaining agent in converter steel-making workshops.

3. CaSi is used as an inoculant and additive in the production of nodular cast iron.
